Hellions (Demons) / Devas (Angels) [Lore Ramble]

1. Demons can’t hide their true nature, but angels can.

1a. The stronger a demon, the less human they tend to look or be able to. Demons can inherently sense other demons’ presence and their strength by aura signature, and angels vice versa.

2. Demons usually have fully corporeal true forms, but angels never have fully corporeal true forms.

2a. Demons that are stronger can achieve less corporeal true forms without harm to themselves, but the weaker the demon the more risk there is to try.

2b. Summoning magic also causes more harm to a demon the weaker they are, but requires less mana than a stronger demon.

2c. Angels can have corporeal vessels/shells they create and store themselves in / mask themselves with, said vessel/shell ceasing to be when not in use and needing to be reformed when used again as opposed to demons’ solid bodies that are intricately laced together.

3. Demons’ true forms can be viewed without harm by the unattuned, but angels’ true forms can’t be viewed without harm by the unattuned.

3a. Demons can exude their aura however and cause harm like angels, angels just can’t control their auras without the use of shells/vessels.

4. Demons’ true forms are organic and absolute, while angels’ true forms are inorganic and fluid.
